A Call Upon Women Advocates for Justice and Equality Worldwide

The Palestine International Friends Alliance PIFA, issues a call accompanied by these statistics, based on the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Commission of Detainees Affairs:

  1. – Total number of females in Palestine: 2.76 million.
  2. – Number of female casualties per hour since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza: 3.
  3. – Number of female martyrs out of the total of 30,717 martyrs: 9,000.
  4. – Number of females wounded: 54,117.
  5. – Number of missing females and children in Gaza: 4,900 individuals.
  6. – Number of displaced women: 1 million.
  7. – Approximately 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza.
  8. – Daily birth rate: 180 cases.
  9. – Likelihood of 15% of pregnant women suffering from health complications.
  10. – 300% increase in miscarriages.
  11. – Increase in the number of underweight newborns due to malnutrition.
  12. – Approximately 85 hospitals and health centers have stopped providing health services in Gaza.
  13. – Majority of displaced women suffer from lack of medication, medical supplies, hygiene essentials, and difficulty accessing health facilities.
  14. – Percentage of women facing high levels of food insecurity: 50% of the population.
  15. – Number of families facing catastrophic conditions: Over half a million individuals.
  16. – Around 50% of the population face high levels of acute food insecurity.
  17. – Average daily births: 180 cases.
  18. – Increase in preterm births by approximately one-third.
  19. – Estimated increase in miscarriages due to stress and trauma: 300%.
  20. – Number of pregnant women in Gaza: Approximately 60,000.
  21. – Number of families with members facing malnutrition: Over half a million individuals.
  22. – Number of women suffering from pregnancy and childbirth complications: Approximately 15%.
  23. – Number of hospitals and health centers that have stopped providing health services: 85 hospitals and centers.
  24. – Number of female martyrs in the West Bank: 4 out of a total of 423 martyrs.
  25. – Number of Palestinians displaced after the destruction of their homes: 1,422 individuals.
  26. – Percentage of displacement cases in Jenin, Nour Shams, and Tulkarm camps: 95%.
  27. – Number of arrests among women since October 7th: 240 cases.
  28. – Number of female detainees: 60.
  29. – Number of female administrative detainees: 12.
  30. – Number of female student detainees: 12.
  31. – Number of motherdetainees: 24.
  32. – Number of female journalist detainees: 2.
  33. – Number of minor female detainees: 2.
  34. – Number of female lawyer detainees: 1.
  35. – Number of female detainees facing diseases and health problems: 11.

These statistics highlight the urgent need for attention and action to address the dire situation facing Palestinian women and children.
